Teens and Birth Control

Have you ever thought that teenagers might not know all that much about birth control? I think teenagers do know about birth control, but they are too afraid to ask their parents to get on it. I am here to tell you that it is not that big of a deal to talk to your parents about getting on birth control, it will be better for both of you in the long run. Think about it why do they have those shows on TV like 16 and Pregnant or Teen Mom? These shows do not put a good message out there for teenagers. They get that idea in their mind that it is okay to be a mother at 16, its really not that glamorous. In my high school there was so much 16 year olds getting pregnant. It is not okay to have a kid when your still a kid yourself. Talk to your parents about getting on birth control be smart about it. Your parents aren't going to care that much that you are having sex they are going to be more concerned that you are trying to be safe about it and not have a kid at a young age. So, teenagers don't be scared to ask your parents about it and parents do just assume that your teenager is having sex, sometimes they could just want to get on it to be safe in case something does happen.
